First you should try to catch your own fresh fish to fillet and eat when you are vacationing on the island. Very fun is fishing off the lighthouse pier, a charter trip, or even shoreline fishing. When your luck is poor, just hit Timbers Market or the restaurant to get some that came right off the boat!

So Healthy is Eating Sanibel Fish Pickup some of the fresh fish recipes that are offered all over the island or online by Thistle Lodge. The book shop has Sanibel Recipe Books that make great gifts for those back home. Fresh fish is the only way to go on the island.
