Start by checking out the back-center view of the restaurant, what a spot right on the beach. I like the Lobster Crusted Sea Scallops for the appetizer, and the Mikado Salad for my main course. So fantastic is the taste, superbly done by the in house Chef. Weekends at the Casa Ybel are just the best.

Sanibel Island Gulffront Bistro Check out the Ybel Lodge below for the location, it is a Gulffront Bistro, the top rated waterside restaurant view in Sanibel or Captiva Florida, and one of the top ten in the country. I'll treat you and Suzanne to dinner their one night since I'm a best view whore.

Where is the best place for dinner on Sanibel Island? The respected Thistle Lodge restaurant is in a re-created historic home with a beach view. In season (mid-March through April), the minimum stay is seven days. In addition to shelling, fishing, beachcombing, and sailing...this is a place for cocktails!

Smoked Whitefish Dip This is just the best seafood spot on the island, really upscale to make you feel great. Get it started with the Smoked Whitefish Dip. Everything is done with you in mind and a smile, nice wine list and the food is top-notch.
