Having so many interesting options to explore our islands and waterfront is what makes us special. I always make recommendations based upon the season, weather, fitness level of the sightseeing group, and if you are willing to get wet!
The absolute easiest place is where they have plenty of parking and you do not have to go far from the car (easy for older folks) is Lighthouse Beach Park. A couple of mile walk around the Eastern tip of the island is typically awesome. The bayside is my favorite spot to see dolphins playing.

Finding the Sea Shell Mounds Giant shell mounds are part of what you can find on the island. Those are more often found down on the beaches between Captiva and Sanibel. Try heading back east from Blindpass Beach.
