SANIBEL LIGHTHOUSE

One of Lee County's Most Treasured Landmarks

This historic lighthouse is a special spot to see and enjoy. Big ships and yachts from all over Florida cruise by the shoreline, heading into the port. The base of the monument has open beaches, picnic areas, walking trails, nature, and more. Everything is so scenic, and you can tour the area from the bayside to the gulf. The park actually covers the entire eastern tip of Sanibel Island.

Special Treats for Local Sightseeing
The east end of the island is outstanding. Our favorite restaurant is Gramma Dots. These are the unique places you don't want to miss on a visit to the island. We like to explore and hit the casual restaurants by the water.

Fixing Up the Lighthouse is a Top Priority
Our lighthouse is the core symbol of this island. We are so glad the city is restoring it and fixing the access to allow visitors to walk to the top. They need to make it just like the Key West Lighthouse, the views from there are amazing.
