We always take our big umbrellas out to Lighthouse Beach so that we can stay cool as I read deeper into my latest novel. Right over on Periwinkle (Macintosh Book Shop within the Islander Strip Center) is a place to get an assortment of island-themed softcover books to round out your beach day. Ask for any suggestions from the store's host for the day, they know what is hot and makes people want another edition written.

Good Sanibel Island Reading Books
Try digging into the book titled: Six Mornings on Sanibel, a paper back authored by Charles Sobczak. It gets deep into the area and how it was for a troubled person to cope with life's obstacles. Very interesting and makes for a nice conversation piece for your patio table.
