There are all sorts of various scenic spots around the Island which are relatively hidden, but tons of fun. This is one you certainly want to add to the Sanibel Itinerary. Gulfside Park has a sweet little nature park that you can walk or bike ride through. Inside you can spot all sorts of critters and marine life.

Changes ahead for the Bicycle Trails The new Ding Darling trail project has recommendations out for new trail enhancements, which may go into affect here too. They want to green-up all the trail access to the Ding Park and other environmental destinations on the islands.
West Gulfside Park Hours We have found that going here early is a big reward. Around 7am to 8am seems to be the best for seeing more wildlife. Go slowly and be very quiet.
