It is lively and playful, and just the restaurant to take someone special. Now we have music nights here on the island. We had great times at Ellington's of Sanibel. We adore a few other places, you may have time to examine: Heron House, Il Tesoro, and the Greenhouse Grill. For the coolest breakfast spot, try the Island Cow, which is right off Periwinkle Way (down on the left side, heading towards Captiva).

Live Music on the Island We do need more places for live music like this. Most of the bars on Fort Myers Beach have live music going from around 6pm to 2am. Music just makes an island experience. Captiva has the Mucky Duck and its little band area.
Always Watch the Local Event Calendar Music makes things better for a night out on the town, the jazz is nice. Sanibel is famous for one-person bands playing in various bars around town. The online event schedule really helps a lot, so you can try new local live music acts. The Mucky Duck on Captiva has the best views. If it is not for tunes, then the best spots are on the waterfront.
