We had no idea that Sanibel Island had such history to make it all the way up to the top of the country's government. Thank goodness that Ding Darling did his thing and got it done. We love coming out early in the morning when the animal population comes out in full force.

Ding Darling is a Multi-day Attraction The tram ride was much better than I thought it would be and you learn so much about the nature. You will see yellow-crowned herons, spoonbills, egrets, and all sorts of fish and marine life. Do the tram tour once and then go back on your own to see things even closer up. Kayak tours of Tarpon Bay are excellent too.
