Beach Parking in Sanibel
The beach does get busy on the weekends. We like to wait until late in the day, say four or five in the afternoon. The metered parking place will open up just fine. You can easily just bike down to the park on the path. Bike locking areas are plentiful and seem safe.

Fantastic Bowman's Beach at Sanibel Island! One of the most scenic beach zones in Florida, where the shells, marine-life, and the critters make the show. It was the perfect February day to walk the shore.

Marine Life Surprises under the Bridge That bridge which everyone walks over to get to the main beach area is very cool. Take your time and watch the action underneath the bridge. The water is very, very clear when the wind is blocked out of the lagoon. Spot all sorts of big fish and marine life right there where most people rush right on by. The kayak launch is 30 yards to the south.
Start Your Day off with a Beachwalk We now stay closer to Bowmans Beach, this end of the island is much less crowded and better for long walks and shelling. As you look for rentals, try the condo units that are past the Post Office and around the corner towards the beach entrance. There must be 25 different condo resorts that offer rooms by day or week.
