You may just fall love with this cute little Island Beach Store, part of one of the areas most popular strip center shopping. The store is right there in the city center, so wherever you park or stay it will be just a short walk. Swimming goggles are very important at Captiva beach, but we also used our beach shovel to improve beach shelling ability. This is the land of shoreline shells and you need the right tools to get them.

Lots of goodies here! Get a shell scooper, it really works.

People are More Friendly and Helpful
Only on this island can you walk to shopping and restaurants. Everything is a bit different, as there are no strip malls or the same old names you get back on the mainland. All of the stores seem to be owner operated and so customer friendly. This is the spot for beach toys and snorkels. For home goods and decorations try Suncatchers at Tarpon Bay Road.
